Itinerary

Spend a week walking the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, moving between alpine lakes, high plateaus and historic First World War trails. The route strings together Prato Piazza, Lake Braies, the Three Peaks and the Lagazuoi fortress, with cable-car and bus options that let you shorten any day. You stay in Alta Pusteria and Dobbiaco, so each morning starts a short hop from the trailhead.
-
Check into your hotel in Alta Pusteria; free public parking is available nearby so you can leave the car and settle in before the first hike tomorrow.
Locations
- Hochpustertal
-
Start at Dreizinnenblick and climb a former First World War path through Helltal valley toward Strudelkopf (Monte Specie), crossing Prätzwiese before dropping into Pragsertal. Monte Cristallo, Tofana and the Three Peaks stay in view the whole way; a bus runs from the valley if you prefer an easier descent.
