In Alaska, the scale of everything tends to surprise. Summer brings more than 20 hours of daylight, enough for the Matanuska Valley to grow 70-pound, prize-winning cabbages. That cabbage is only the start. Over this sun-filled trip you'll cruise the three-mile face of the Columbia Glacier, sail past the calving tidewater glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park, and ride the famous Alaska Railroad into Denali National Park, home to North America's highest peak. You'll also pan for gold at Fairbanks' Gold Dredge #8, watch a mushing demonstration at an Iditarod champion's home, and look for whales, caribou, moose and grizzlies along the coasts and high country. Locals may shrug at a passing whale or bear; we think you'll feel differently. Then comes the sea journey that makes the trip bigger still. A relaxed cruise through the Gulf of Alaska and the Inside Passage adds more wilderness and more small settlements: scenic cruising around Glacier Bay National Park, time in the frontier capital of Juneau, the quiet towns of Haines or Skagway, and totem-pole-dotted Ketchikan. Your package price includes Holland America's "Have It All Premium Cruise Package."
-
You'll land in Anchorage and meet your Tour Director at the hotel sometime between 3 pm and 7 pm. From there, the day is yours to get a feel for the city at your own pace, with dinner wherever you choose. If you'd like a steer on restaurants or local spots, just ask your Tour Director.

This is my third time with Globus and as usual it is another “best next to nothing “ type. This ten days tour not only allowed me to see what I have been wanting to see but has actually merged me to truly experience Alaska. The tour guide Wede and the bus driver John are so knowledgeable adding so much fun and comfort to the group. This tour as guided by them is a true credit to the Company.

The schedule , locales, accommodations and food were all excellent and well planned. However, the best part of our vacation was the guide that went with us on the land portion. His name is Alex Wambaugh. SUPERB!! If we go to Alaska again we will definitely schedule it around his availability.
-
Craig
Wade our tour guide was amazing! My only negative was day Ankorage to Seward cruise. Captain should not have taken us out into such rough waters.
