Itinerary

This five-day trip links Istanbul with the Lycian coast. Fly south to Antalya, transfer to Olympos and board a traditional gulet for four nights sailing the Mediterranean. The itinerary includes swimming, snorkelling and optional activities such as diving at Kas, paragliding at Oludeniz and a sunset walk on Saint Nicholas Island. The cruise finishes in Fethiye harbour.

Arrive in Istanbul and take a 90-minute domestic flight to Antalya. A private transfer meets you at the airport and drives roughly two hours along the coast to Olympos, where you spend your first night ashore.

Travel from Olympos to the fishing village of Ucagiz and step aboard your gulet. Sail into turquoise water with stops for swimming and snorkelling before dropping anchor for the night in Gokkaya Bay.

After breakfast on deck, cruise to Kas. Explore the harbour town on foot, browse shops and cafes, or join an optional dive trip. In the afternoon sail to Aquarium Bay, named for its clear water, and anchor there overnight.

Set off early for Butterfly Valley; breakfast is served on board followed by time to swim or walk the valley trail. Midday brings you to Oludeniz beach, where tandem paragliding is offered. By evening the gulet moors at Saint Nicholas Island — climb to the summit for sunset views over the ruins.

I booked a tour to Pamukkale as a way of getting from Selcuk to Fethiye in Turkey being picked up from my hotel and delivered to my next destination. The pick up was prompt, the guide was very knowledgeable on Pamukkale and the Roman ruins, unfortunately as only 2 of us were travelling onto Fethiye we were offered a choice of public bus or private car, we opted for the private car which took us and one other person onto Fethiye from Pamukkale, my only criticism was that the guide did not know anything about where we were to be collected when asked which led to me being concerned for the duration of the trip, I arrived back at the meeting point early as I was worried about being collected for our onward journey, the bus driver was very helpful and we then learned that we were to be collected from the village of Pamukkale rather than the actual site. I would happily use the company again for future tours, it would probably have been helpful to have explained up front when I booked that if numbers were low then alternative arrangements would be made so that it was not a shock.
