Itinerary
-
In Alaska, the summer sun barely sets, and with 20-plus hours of daylight even the produce grows large (the Matanuska Valley is known for its 70-pound cabbages). Over 10 days you'll travel from coast to mountains, cruising past the 3-mile face of the Columbia Glacier and watching tidewater glaciers calve in Kenai Fjords National Park. You'll ride the Alaska Railroad into Denali National Park, home to North America's highest peak, pan for gold at Fairbanks' Gold Dredge #8, and watch a mushing demonstration at the home of an Iditarod champion. Along the way you may spot whales, caribou, moose or grizzlies. Locals shrug at such sightings; we think you'll find this a big trip.
-
Your trip begins in Anchorage, where you'll meet your Tour Director at the hotel between 3 pm and 7 pm. Once you've settled in, the evening is free to explore at your own pace. Ask your Tour Director for tips on where to eat and what to see around town.

Ricky
We had a great time on the Spectacular Alaska tour. The Alaskan wilderness, wildlife, lifestyle, and people were amazing. Todd our tour director and Nick our driver were professional, entertaining, informative, and caring of all of the guests.

Billy
This is my third time with Globus and as usual it is another “best next to nothing “ type. This ten days tour not only allowed me to see what I have been wanting to see but has actually merged me to truly experience Alaska. The tour guide Wede and the bus driver John are so knowledgeable adding so much fun and comfort to the group. This tour as guided by them is a true credit to the Company.
-
Monika

Donald
The schedule , locales, accommodations and food were all excellent and well planned. However, the best part of our vacation was the guide that went with us on the land portion. His name is Alex Wambaugh. SUPERB!! If we go to Alaska again we will definitely schedule it around his availability.
-
Craig
Wade our tour guide was amazing! My only negative was day Ankorage to Seward cruise. Captain should not have taken us out into such rough waters.
-
